Frequently asked questions
Do I need a permit for a fence in Florida?
In most Florida counties, yes. The City of Orlando is a notable exception (no permit for fences up to 6 feet). We pull the permit for you in every other jurisdiction we serve. If your home is in an HOA, you also need community approval, which we prepare for you.
Do you really not require a down payment?
Correct. Our standard policy is no down payment, deposit, or pre-installation payment. Final payment is due upon completion of the fence installation, after the City inspection (where applicable). Exceptions apply for custom-ordered or non-stock materials, pre-engineered HVHZ-rated systems, large commercial scopes, or out-of-area travel — in those cases, any deposit terms are stated clearly in the signed installation agreement before any payment is requested.
How long does installation take?
Most residential fences install in 1 to 3 days once the permit is approved. Permit timelines vary by county, typically 5 to 15 business days. We include the permit timeline in your quote.
Does my pool fence need to meet a special code?
Yes. Florida Statute 515 requires a 4-foot barrier with self-closing, self-latching gates around any residential pool. We install fully Statute 515-compliant pool fences and handle the inspection.
Do you serve Tampa and Miami?
Yes, by request. Our base is Windermere (Central Florida). We regularly travel to Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Miami for licensed installations, especially when local options are limited.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a Florida-licensed fence contractor, fully insured, and proud members of the American Fence Association (AFA). We can provide license and insurance documentation on request.
